Over the last few months Gary Pinto, Natasha Pinto and I have been working on a new Mass Setting. We spent some time writing the music, working with our publishers to get the sheet music out and working in two studios to get the recording of the project as perfect as we possibly could.
This is a contemporary Mass Setting and we wrote it with a young congregation in mind.
So What is a Mass Setting?
A Mass Setting is the putting of music to the parts of the Catholic Mass. In 2011 the English speaking Catholic Church introduced a new translation to the Mass: new prayers and responses. Some of the changes have been parts such as the “Gloria”, “Holy”, and the “Acclamations”. We have put music to these parts so that they can be sung by the congregation during Mass.
