U.S.A, The X Factor and Home

Greetings from Indianapolis airport..
Here is what I have been up to recently:

The X Factor and Leaving

Last month I got to be a contestant on Australia's The X Factor. I auditioned as I saw it as a great opportunity to evangelise and change some impressions of an old, battererd and scarred Church. The response has been incredible and the impact great.

Watch Video Here.

While I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of the show I am also very much at peace about my decision to leave the competition. Read my press statement explaining my leaving here.

Home

It has been 10 years since I left my family and friends and crossed the world to serve in Australia. I am happy with this call over my life but nothing brings me more joy than to spend time with my family back home.Following the death of my grandfather Ireturned home for two weeks. We did enjoy some quality family time, but this was following a concert in Nadur, Gozo and, 18 TV and radio interviews.I look forward to returning to Malta in September 2016 for a concert at the MFCC in Ta' Qali. More information will appear on my Tour Page.

U.S.A. Ministry

Over the last three years I have had the honour of ministering regularly to thousands of teens across the U.S.A. and Canada. This year I preached and sang at L.A. congress (the worlds largest Catholic Conference, with 45,000 in attendance) and am now returning from attending N.C.Y.C. in Indianapolis (the worlds largest youth conference, with 25,000 in attendance). Earlier on in the year I have also been blessed enough to visit schools around Canada.

I will return to the U.S.A. in February for a music and preaching tour. You can keep up to date with my Australian and international visits on FrRobGalea.com/tour

Parish and Stronger Youth

Although it seems that I am constantly 'on the road' I do spend over 200 days a year serving at St Kilian's parish in Bendigo. My role in the parish is that of assistant priest, chaplain to 8,000 students (High School and University) as well as director of our diocesan youth ministry, Stronger Youth.

I am constantly amazed at the dedication and passion of our pastoral teams and can't wait to celebrate the coming Year of Mercy with them. For more information on our youth ministry please visit StrongerYouth.com
